The Harris-Lass House Museum, located at 1889 Market Street in Santa Clara, is the city’s last remaining farm site and reflects 125 years of life shared by the Harris and Lass families. Built in 1865 in the Italianate style and enlarged in the 1890s, the home now showcases original Lass family furnishings and sits alongside a classic barn, summer kitchen, tank house, landscaped gardens, and a Heritage Orchard. Purchased by the City of Santa Clara in 1987 and opened to the public in 1991 after extensive restoration, the museum is operated by the nonprofit Historic Preservation Society of Santa Clara and run entirely by volunteers. Recently, six Mission City Federal Credit Union staff members donated their time to help decorate the museum on November 20, 2025.
